Richard Born and Ira Drukier's first ground-up hotel outside Manhattan, with Sean MacPherson — the team behind The Mercer, The Jane, and Marlton. Admitted to Leading Hotels of the World before the ribbon.

The amenity stack

Sisley Spa Paris, rooftop pool, Lillys all-day café from Mama Hospitality, Pastis through STARR. An early visitor said the rooftop is "incredible" and will be "a great event space."

A district, not a hotel

Nora House residences opened sales in March; Indaco and Vesta follow Pastis. The hotel is one piece of a $1B master plan the district has been building toward for three years.

The Pastis legacy

Opened in Meatpacking in 1999. Closed in 2014 over the lease. Reopened in 2019 to lines down the block. First Florida outpost — the only Pastis outside New York and Paris.

The menu

Brasserie classics without irony: onion soup, escargots, steak frites, raw bar platters. Pastis Privé sits beside it as the hotel's private event space.

The native test

Can a room built on downtown Manhattan dinner energy hold two audiences- New York transplants expecting their old haunt, and residents who want to make it theirs? A local food account posted: “If this works, it unlocks everything in NORA.”
